Quixotic Quest

In 1605 Cervantes published the first volume of _Don Quixote_, a book that some consider the first modern novel, a novel of the creative imagination. With that book, the foundation of literary fiction was laid, stories where worlds are created that are "as real as but other than the world that is", to borrow words from John Fowles.

Yes, a story of a madman on a valiant commission of honor – courtly love – joined by a faithful sidekick.

But more than that, a story of an Audacious Aspiration, one that, when experienced, has the potential to transform a reader as meaning is drawn from a deeper truth felt in the story.

Perhaps, then, quixotic quests are not journeys of lunacy, but rather ones that might inspire others to live into a fuller humanity not previously recognized.

Movements that are, by their very nature, quixotic for they strive to create a new reality that require belief in that which cannot be seen by many, guided by an Imago Image, until a new reality manifests that can no longer be denied.

Together we commit to Cultivating Ustawi as we reclaim our humanity.
