Ways of Thinking

We recognize that there are different ways of thinking. Each are important but each, by themselves, have limitations. Our capacity to develop and integrate them all is critical in order to activate our Whole Mind so that we can unleash our full potential as creative problem solvers.

We find it helpful to organize our types of thinking into three primary dimensions: * Behavioral Thinking: what we sometimes call compliance thinking * Functional Thinking: what we sometimes call critical thinking * Creative Thinking

**Behavioral thinking** allows us socialize and to normalize. **Functional thinking** allows us to analyze and to formalize. **Creative thinking** allows us to synthesize and to syngergize.

Dimensions that map to the Kegan's Three Plateaus of Adult Mental Development.

With greater clarity we can intentionally cultivate and integrate each, holding firm to the belief of the Creative Genius within each and every one of us – potential that can be unleashed if we allow the enabling conditions to be cultivated.
