Simplest Experiments

Joshua felt that as the system was never completely knowable and that the only way to learn about it was through experiments. But it was essential to seek out the simplest experiments, ones the might lead to the simplest implementations.

Through these experiments, "conclusive knowledge" of the system was revealed.
