The theories of Jean Piaget inspired Seymour Papert’s contributions to the development of the Logo, a programming language. He helped create Logo to explore how children might think and solve problems using computers.
Papert went on to create the MIT Media Lab. There he developed his theory on learning called Constructionism, which was an extension of Piaget’s Constructivist learning theories.
His theories and experiences teaching students had a significant impact on Alan Kay and the development of Smalltalk.
