Learning Potential

We sense there there are three dimensions of _learning potential_, what we are calling capacity, domain and rate.

_Learning Capacity_. We now recognize the vitality of learning, the learning capacity, can be thought of as being comprised of trust, mindset and voice. We are now experimenting with ways to assess the learning capacity in students.

_ Domain_. All learning works within the context of a Cognitive Horizon. This cognitive horizon defines the domain of what Piaget referred to as a Schema or what Friston talks about as a Bayesian belief network. It also relates back to what Nietzsche’s concept of relativistic 'horizons' in which we make meaning in the world.

_Rate_. We know that the rate in which we go through Learning Cycles directly impact the speed of our learning. The faster the cycles, the faster our learning as each cycle allows for surprise and updates of our mental maps that define the scope of our cognitive horizon.
