Behavioral Thinking

We are social beings, but we must learn to socialize in order to be in meaningful relationships.

We must learn Normative Behavior, so that we might work together toward common goals or aspirations.

We consider behavioral thinking, that which allows us to socialize and normalize, as _first-order thinking_.

Being in relationship with each other, where we have a sense of Belonging Together, is essential to not only only our well-being, but also our survival.

Without our ability to socialize and normalize we have chaos which leaves us in a state of primal survival.

We look to schools to cultivate this thinking for all students. We want students to behave, to follow instructions and interact in ways that are not destructive to others. This training is our baseline expectation of schools. But it's not enough.
